Hyde Park had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-7 to make it six. They came up short against the Hancock Eagles, falling 26-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 on Monday.

As for Hancock, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games.

For Hancock's part, Vincente Caldamone made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Caldamone also tossed a walk, which is notable because Hancock is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-9 otherwise. Caldamone was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
