Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Indian Braves vs. Robertson Cardinals
After flying high against Academy for Technology and The Classics last Tuesday, Santa Fe Indian came back down to earth. The Santa Fe Indian Braves fell 52-43 to the Robertson Cardinals on Thursday. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 68-54.
Robertson found their leader in sophomore Nathan Gonzales, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Gonzales is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Gonzales, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.
Santa Fe Indian's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Robertson, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.
As of now, neither Santa Fe Indian nor Robertson have any future games scheduled.
