Tennessee high school football rankings: Brentwood Academy new No. 1

Big win over previous No. 2 McCallie vaults the Eagles to the No. 1 spot.

There's a new No. 1 team in the Tennessee Top 25 high school football rankings. Brentwood Academy jumped three sports after a thrilling 30-27 win over No. 4 McCallie (Chattanooga) when Jalen Jones punched in a short run with less than two minutes to lift the Eagles to 3-0 on the young season.

Only two teams entered the Top 25 this week: Summit (Spring Hill) at No. 25 and 20th-ranked Tullahoma, which has outscored its opponents 122-21 through the first three games of the season. Junior quarterback Ryan Scott has thrown for 359 yards and four touchdowns to begin the season.
