Basketball Recap: Mariner Takes a Loss

Mariner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Cape Coral Seahawks and fell 57-27. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tritons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-27 two weeks ago.

Mariner's record now sits at 2-9. As for Cape Coral, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mariner will take on Island Coast at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st. Mariner is facing Island Coast at the right time seeing as Island Coast is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cape Coral, they will square off against Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
