Basketball Recap: Issa Well's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harmony Science Academy over Meridian

Harmony Science Academy was the 56-51 winner over Meridian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Harmony Science Academy Tigers fell 74-63 to the Meridian Lions on Monday. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 19-13 in the first quarter.

Harmony Science Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Issa Well, who posted 25 points and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Isaac Guajardo-Tovar, who had 23 points.

Harmony Science Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Meridian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Harmony Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meridian, they will take on McDade at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. Meridian is facing McDade at the right time seeing as McDade is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
