Volleyball Recap: Black Hawk Comes Up Short

Black Hawk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pecatonica Vikings, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Black Hawk was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-9.

Leading Pecatonica to victory were Cayla Doescher and Ella Orloff. Doescher had six digs and three aces, while Orloff had 12 digs. That's the most aces Doescher has posted over her last three contests.

Black Hawk's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Pecatonica, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Black Hawk didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Argyle on the 25th. As for Pecatonica, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Monticello on the 25th.
