Soccer Recap: Knightdale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Louisburg last Monday, Knightdale came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the Franklinton Red Rams on Monday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Knightdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Franklinton are ranked 141st).

Jaden Tejada and Steven Martinez scored both of Knightdale's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Knightdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Franklinton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Knightdale is set to square off against their familiar foe Vance County at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Franklinton will challenge rival Heritage at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
