Volleyball Recap: Turner Lions vs. Wakeland Wolverines

Turner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Wakeland Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on October 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-3, 25-7.

Athena Noel paced Turner's offense, picking up two kills. Noel got some help from Alondra Barcenas and her two assists.

Emily Dufresne was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since October 4th.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 3-22-1. As for Wakeland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.

Turner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Wakeland and Memorial will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wakeland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
