Football Recap: Blackford Bruins vs. Madison-Grant Argylls
Friday just wasn't the day for Blackford's offense. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Madison-Grant Argylls. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Argylls recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Madison-Grant had a senior duo take command as Cole Stitt rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries and Andy Stanley rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. The dominant performance gave Stanley a new career-high in rushing yards.
Blackford now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Madison-Grant, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Blackford will square off against Elwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison-Grant, they will host Oak Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison-Grant has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 140 points over their last three games.
