Football Recap: West Marshall Piles Up the Points Against West Central Valley

West Marshall had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 44-7 victory over the West Central Valley Wildcats. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Wildcats are ranked 223rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Marshall's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for West Central Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

West Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Central Valley, they will take on Clarke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
