If Epiphany wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cape Fear Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Lila Hammer. The Hurricanes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons on Tuesday thanks in part to Hammer, who had 29 assists and four digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

In the three sets Cape Fear Academy was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 25-12, 25-12.

Cape Fear Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Epiphany, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Fear Academy will challenge Liberty Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Epiphany, they will square off against New Bern Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
