Recap: Dunellen Destroyers vs. Mother Seton Setters
The Dunellen Destroyers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Mother Seton on Wednesday as Dunellen made off with a 36-10 victory. The win was familiar territory for Dunellen who now have four in a row.
Dunellen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Fabiana Ames Castillo out in front who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Jimenez, who scored ten points.
Dunellen's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Mother Seton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Dunellen will be playing in front of their home fans against East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. East Brunswick Vo-Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Mother Seton, they will head out on the road to face off against South Amboy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. South Amboy has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
