Baseball Game Preview: Lamar Texans vs. Stratford Spartans

The Lamar Texans will be taking part in a tournament against the Stratford Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lamar was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Paetow on Thursday. The Texans put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 9-3 win.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Stratford sidestepped Katy for a 3-2 victory.

Stratford now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lamar, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Lamar came up short against Stratford in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Texans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
