Baseball Recap: Thales Academy Rolesville Drops Season-High Score on Friendship Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thales Academy Rolesville). They put the hurt on the Friendship Christian Falcons with a sharp 15-1 victory on Thursday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Wil Antunez and Owen Schutek made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Antunez pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Schutek pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Antunez scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Schutek scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cooper Nash was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Clark, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Friendship Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Thales Academy Rolesville has already played their next game, a 16-6 win against St. Thomas More Academy on the 28th. As for Friendship Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lee Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 11th.
