Soccer Game Preview: Vacaville vs. West Park

The Vacaville Bulldogs will take on the West Park Panthers in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vacaville is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Vacaville gave up the first goal last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged Mt. Diablo out 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Zachariah Wheat and Noah Beltran scored both of Vacaville's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, while West Park scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Elk Grove could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

West Park's draw gives them a new season record of 1-2-2. As for Vacaville, their win bumped their record up to 3-0-1.
