Basketball Recap: Wallace Comes Up Short

If Wallace was feeling good fresh off their 47-21 takedown of Creek Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wallace Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 57-56 to the Garden County Eagles.

Garden County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kole Fornander, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 19 points along with five boards and three steals. Fornander continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Wilsie Lobner was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Wallace has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. Garden County has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Wallace nor Garden County have any future games scheduled.
