Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Springs Takes a Loss

Excelsior Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Kearney Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-6.

Jordin Price paced Excelsior Springs' offense, picking up five kills. Price got some help from Lillah Shue and her eight assists. Shue was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Excelsior Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Kearney, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 21-10-2.

Excelsior Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Winnetonka on the 9th. As for Kearney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against St. Pius X on the 13th.
