Basketball Recap: Medicine Lodge Has No Trouble Against Attica

Medicine Lodge won the last time they faced Attica and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Medicine Lodge Indians were the clear victor by a 52-27 margin over the Attica Bulldogs. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Attica lost, don't look at Carter Swingle. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The game was Swingle's sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Medicine Lodge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Attica, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Medicine Lodge has already played their next matchup, a 69-58 loss against Cunningham on the 25th. As for Attica, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 35-31 defeat against Skyline on the 24th.
