Baseball Recap: South Dearborn Takes a Loss

South Dearborn fell victim to Batesville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Bulldogs. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

South Dearborn now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Batesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Dearborn will welcome Switzerland County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pacers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Batesville, they will host Greensburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3, the Pirates 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
