Volleyball Recap: Vasquez Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Vasquez barely beat The Palmdale Aerospace Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Vasquez blew past The Palmdale Aerospace Academy 3-0 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on four straight.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 29-27.

Diego Camacho paced Vasquez's offense, picking up 14 kills. Camacho got some help from Fernando Vazquez and his 27 assists. Finally, Oliver Gates kept Vasquez's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Vasquez's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Vasquez is taking a road trip to take on de Toledo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Trinity Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Classical Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something The Palmdale Aerospace Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
