Basketball Recap: Providence Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Heritage Christian Academy Lions on the road by a 40-22 margin on Tuesday.

Heritage Christian Academy was led to victory by Addelynn Reid and Sara Spangler. Reid dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards, while Spangler dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Reid is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. Addison Klock was another key player, putting up six points.

Providence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Providence Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will square off against Lakewood Presbyterian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 22.2 points per game this season, so Lakewood Presbyterian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
