Richland Northeast is a perfect 10-0 against Ridge View since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cavaliers will take on the Blazers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 18 consecutive losses for Richland Northeast and 14 for Ridge View.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Richland Northeast's offense. They lost 10-0 to Camden on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Ridge View also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Sumter on Thursday, falling 7-0.

Ridge View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob O'Neil, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was O'Neil's first of the season.

Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Ridge View, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Richland Northeast beat Ridge View 8-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
