Clarksville is 2-8 against Providence since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Generals will host the Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Clarksville's victory against Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Warriors on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Aaliyah Watts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on 14 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Kenzie Alexander was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Clarksville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Academy struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Providence narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Eastern 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.
Providence also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Presley Hegedus (2026) gave up three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. With that strong performance, Hegedus (2026) is now averaging an impressive 5.9 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lainey Weber (2028), who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Ceci Zeller (2026), who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Providence's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Clarksville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Providence's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clarksville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .391. It's a different story for Providence, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Clarksville's hitters?
