Football Recap: Central Valley Warriors vs. McGuffey Highlanders
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Valley). They breezed by the McGuffey Highlanders on the road to the tune of 49-0 on Friday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Highlanders are ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braddock Ambrose was a one-man wrecking crew for Central Valley as he threw for 224 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes.
Central Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for McGuffey, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
