Baseball Game Preview: Roxbury Latin Foxes vs. Middlesex

The Roxbury Latin Foxes will take on Middlesex at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Roxbury Latin will be strutting in after a win while Middlesex will be coming in after a loss.

Roxbury Latin is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 22, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Groton School 3-2. The Foxes haven't had any issues with Groton School recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

James Gibbons tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caleb Meredith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Middlesex's offense. They fell just short of Noble & Greenough by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Middlesex in their meetings with Noble & Greenough: they've now lost five in a row.

Roxbury Latin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Middlesex, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
