Baseball Recap: Albany Takes a Loss

Albany and Eldorado squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Albany had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Lions were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Albany's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Eldorado, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Albany beat Eldorado by a score of 9-2 later that day.
