Recap: Victoria East Titans vs. Miller Buccaneers
It was a good run, but the Victoria East Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Miller 56-51. Victoria East has struggled against Miller recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Jaedyn Brown was the offensive standout of the game as he went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Holmes, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Victoria East's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11. As for Miller, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Victoria East will be playing in front of their home fans against Gregory-Portland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gregory-Portland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Victoria East in Texas (Gregory-Portland is ranked 169th, while Victoria East is ranked 636th). As for Miller, they will head out on the road to face off against Victoria West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
