Recap: Rains Wildcats vs. Palo Duro Dons        
        
		
            
 After a string of five wins, the Rains Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They took a  56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palo Duro. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Rains came into the  match with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 36th, while Palo Duro is ranked 151st).
 Rains' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Caroline Piles, who  scored 11 points along with 5  rebounds.  Jazzy Phillips was another key contributor,  scoring 10 points.
 Rains' loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Palo Duro, the  victory was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
 Rains will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Gatesville at 11:40  a.m.  on December 2nd. As for Palo Duro, they will  take on Glen Rose at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Glen Rose has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 310 points over their last four contests.
