The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wright City, who took down 251st ranked Bowling Green, 26-21.
North Callaway was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to first in Eastern Missouri. Earlier in the week, the Thunderbirds defeated Montgomery County 27-7.
Jack Hicks put up the best numbers through the air as Clopton/Elsberry beat Van-Far. He finished with 14 completions for 157 yards and one touchdown. Hicks 's favorite target this week was Charles Fraction, who caught five passes for 81 yards.
Vance Allen was the best wideout in the league this week as North Callaway topped the Wildcats. Allen tallied three receptions for 109 yards.
Allen was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 177 yards as Mike Emmons's team topped Montgomery County. Justin Menard also contributed to the rushing game with 51 yards on the ground.
Clopton/Elsberry's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hicks has thrown for 868 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Fraction has 22 catches for 494 yards. Hicks also leads the league in rushing with 541 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when John Klekamp's team takes on the Indians. The Wildcats are in second place, while Van-Far is in third place.
The Thunderbirds took down Montgomery County 27-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Allen in the win.
