Volleyball Game Preview: Chaminade-Madonna Lions vs. Deerfield Beach Bucks

The Chaminade-Madonna Lions will challenge the Deerfield Beach Bucks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Chaminade-Madonna was able to grind out a solid victory over American Heritage, taking the game 3-1.

While Chaminade-Madonna might've won, it sure wasn't easy: American Heritage scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 28-26, 25-19.

Chaminade-Madonna can attribute much of their success to Colin Hennessy, who had 12 digs and two aces, and Arthur Mainella Maux, who had 20 digs and 17 kills. Mainella Maux is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season. Noah Limo also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Deerfield Beach, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Boyd Anderson on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-6.

Deerfield Beach pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Chaminade-Madonna, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Chaminade-Madonna skirted past Deerfield Beach 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bucks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
