Soccer Recap: Concord vs. Northridge
Concord's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Northridge Raiders. Even though the Minutemen got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Jeremy Cruz was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Jimmy Gomez scored both of Concord's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.
Concord's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-2.
Concord will stay at home for another game and welcome South Bend St. Joseph at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. South Bend St. Joseph's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Bethany Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
