Basketball Recap: Matthew Hainsworth's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meyersdale over Everett

Meyersdale lost against Everett back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Meyersdale Red Raiders fell 51-39 to the Everett Warriors.

Several Red Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Hainsworth, who posted eight points. Gavan Steinberg was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meyersdale's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Everett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Meyersdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-31 defeat against Blacklick Valley on the 10th. As for Everett, they will be playing at home against Forbes Road at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
