Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Flintridge Sacred Heart

Flintridge Sacred Heart waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Alliance Levine Tigers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Flintridge Sacred Heart was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10.

Flintridge Sacred Heart's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ana Wertheimer, who had eight assists and four aces. Those four aces gave Wertheimer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Wright, who had seven digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Flintridge Sacred Heart was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Flintridge Sacred Heart's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Alliance Levine, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Flintridge Sacred Heart has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Azusa on the 15th. As for Alliance Levine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Western Christian on the 20th.
