Softball Recap: Canutillo Eagles vs. Chapin Huskies
If Canutillo was riding high fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Burges last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Canutillo came up short against the Chapin Huskies on Tuesday, falling 16-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 21st.
Nahomi Arzola was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Abigail Lujan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Even though they lost, Canutillo hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive matches.
