Softball Recap: Havre de Grace Find Success

Havre de Grace never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against North Harford on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Hawks. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lilly Dalton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Dalton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Kinsey Mentzer was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Havre de Grace kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Havre de Grace's record now sits at 5-3. As for North Harford, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Havre de Grace will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair will be back at it again later today.
