            The Haverling Rams will challenge the Wellsville Lions at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Haverling  turned things around against Le Roy  on Tuesday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Oatkan Knights  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Rams have posted  since May 3, 2024.
 Dylan Wenban made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Haverling is 5-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 2-4 otherwise. Wenban was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.

 In other batting news,  Asher Phenes was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 Meanwhile, Wellsville waltzed into their game  on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Red Raiders with a sharp  12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Haverling's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-5. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Wellsville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
