Basketball Recap: Maddox Belino and Matthew Hudgins Secure Win for Sachse

Sachse won the last time they faced Naaman Forest and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sachse Mustangs skirted past the Naaman Forest Rangers 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted against the Rangers since January 12, 2021.

Sachse was led to victory by Matthew Hudgins and Maddox Belino. Hudgins went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points, while Belino went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Hudgins a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Banks, who posted eight points.

Sachse's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Naaman Forest, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Sachse will host Rowlett at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Sachse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. As for Naaman Forest, they will head out to challenge South Garland at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
