Basketball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Chester Hambletonians lost to the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders at home by a 43-24 margin. While losing is never fun, the Hambletonians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 650th, while the Crusaders are ranked 196th).

Chester's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Monroe-Woodbury, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Coming up, Chester will be playing at home against O'Neill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe-Woodbury, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kingston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kingston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
