Acadiana Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Freedom Life Academy Patriots 60-0. Give the Lions' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Acadiana Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brent Henry and Lane Parks. Parks got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Acadiana Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Freedom Life Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Acadiana Christian will take on rival John Paul the Great Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lions 9.7, the Guardians 6.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Freedom Life Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Midstate Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
