Softball Recap: Dupo Comes Up Short

Dupo lost to Marissa/Coulterville on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers lost 16-4 to the Meteors.

Kylie Kloess was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Keara Prater, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Dupo has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Marissa/Coulterville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dupo will welcome Cahokia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marissa/Coulterville, they will square off against Woodlawn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Meteors will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
