Softball Recap: Huntington North Vikings vs. New Haven Bulldogs
Huntington North had lost nine straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-17 to make it ten. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Haven Bulldogs. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Monday.
Kayda Newman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Payge Gard also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
As for New Haven, the victory snapped their losing streak at 13 games and leaves them with a 3-21 record. The game was the first time they have beaten Huntington North on their field since May 16, 2016.
