Baseball Game Preview: Denbigh Patriots vs. Warhill Lions

The Denbigh Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Warhill Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Denbigh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Denbigh will bounce into Monday's game after beating Warwick, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Patriots came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 9-5 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Trevor Foote, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Denbigh's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Denbigh now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Warhill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Denbigh's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Patriots have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game.
