Volleyball Recap: Upper Lake Falls Despite Big Games from Aimee Schaefers and Ava Witter

Upper Lake lost against Kelseyville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Knights. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-9, 25-20.

Ava Witter and Aimee Schaefers certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Witter had 17 digs, while Schaefers had ten kills, nine digs, and three blocks. Schaefers has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last 40 times she's played.

Upper Lake's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Kelseyville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Upper Lake is set to challenge their familiar foe Lower Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kelseyville will face off against rival Clear Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
