Basketball Recap: Minnewaska Area Find Success

Minnewaska Area won against New London-Spicer last Tuesday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Minnewaska Area Lakers managed a 67-62 win over the Barnesville Trojans. While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for Minnewaska Area and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Barnesville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Minnewaska Area won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Menahga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barnesville, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Barnesville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton likes a good challenge.
