Baseball Recap: Circle Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Circle Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles with a sharp 21-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Monday.

Kyler Chapdelaine made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Circle Christian: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 4-9 otherwise. Chapdelaine was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cayden Cook, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Lion, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Circle Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Circle Christian's record now sits at 7-10. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Circle Christian will welcome Wekiva at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Legacy Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
