Independence's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the East Mecklenburg Eagles as they made off with a 15-8 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Anthony Mosher was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kyson Jones, who scored four runs while going 2-for-4.

Independence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Independence's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for East Mecklenburg, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

Independence will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
