Basketball Recap: Keyport Starts Season with Win Against Koinonia Academy

Keyport had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Koinonia Academy with a 51-47 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Koinonia Academy is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Keyport won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Amboy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Koinonia Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Morris County Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
