Baseball Recap: Old Plank Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Old Plank Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Harvest Community last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Park Raiders on Monday.

Old Plank Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mark Reid, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Old Plank Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Orange Park, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Plank Christian Academy will square off against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orange Park, they will challenge Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange Park is facing Palatka at the right time seeing as Palatka is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
