South County and Alexandria City are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The South County Stallions will square off against the Alexandria City Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

South County is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since January 17, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Robinson by a score of 45-43.

Meanwhile, Alexandria City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Lake Braddock at home by a 76-58 margin.

South County will have to keep a close watch on Kyheim Johnson and Tarik Sesay, a pair of players who had a big impact on Alexandria City's prior game. Johnson went 7 of 17 to rack up 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Sesay went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Sesay now owns an excellent 45.3% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Kelley, who posted eight points.

Alexandria City's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for South County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

South County came up short against Alexandria City when the teams last played back in January, falling 73-68. Can South County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
