Preview: Whitko Wildcats vs. Maconaquah Braves
The Whitko Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Maconaquah Braves at 7:45 p.m. Whitko will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Even though Whitko has not done well against Fort Wayne Wayne recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Whitko enjoyed a cozy 69-54 victory over Fort Wayne Wayne.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitko to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Stonebraker, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Stonebraker hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Jayma Stonebraker was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Maconaquah posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 last Tuesday. They blew past Pioneer 58-36.
Maconaquah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Miranda Stoll out in front who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Carson, who scored 13 points along with seven steals.
Whitko's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Maconaquah, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
